Lima COP20 | CMP 10 / PERU AT COP21

France welcomes and chairs the  Twenty-first Conference of the Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (2015) (COP21 / CMP11), also called "Paris 2015," from November 30 to December 11. This is a crucial date because it must lead to a new international agreement on climate applicable to all countries, with the goal of keeping global warming below 2°C.

The COP21 will be held at the Exhibition Park "Parc des Expositions", in Le Bourget, 15 kilometers northeast of the city of Paris, France.

The event will include representatives of 195 United Nations member countries and representatives of the European Union, cooperation agencies, civil society, indigenous organizations, observers, and press. Approximately 40,000 people are expected (20,000 official representatives of the UNFCCC member countries in the blue area and 20,000 visitors in the civil society space). Also, more than 3,000 journalists from around the world are expected.
