During his three-day trip to the Arctic, Obama made a boat tour to the Fjords National Park for seeing first-hand the effects of climate change. His photos and recorded videos are a direct testimony of the great transformations that the glaciers in this area have suffered.

“Today I am visiting Alaska for a three-day visit, a trip that could not wait any longer. I hope not only to visit the beautiful places in this country, but meet people and learn about what they are going through right now”, said the president when starting the trip.

With this experience, the American president wanted to be a direct witness of the effects of climate change to share this knowledge with the world population. Obama recalled that climate change is already affecting agriculture, water resources and human health, since it is something that impacts “everything else”, from the economy to security and that “is already changing the way the citizens live in Alaska. ”
