Last Friday August 28 the  “ARTCLIMA: Art in View of Climate Change, Lima-Paris Road” contest was officially launched. Different Peruvian artists interested in environmental care gathered there. The meeting was led by Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, Minister of the Environment in Peru.

This contest is part of the activities and actions driven by the Ministry of the Environment on the road from Peru to COP21, connected to building the national agenda in view of climate change. ARTCLIMA calls Peruvian artists passionate by climate change so they design an art project that generates debate and sensitizes citizens on the environment through art.

The winning artist will travel to the COP 21 conference in Paris and will exhibit his/her work at the ARTCOP21 art platform, with logistic support from contest organizers.

  • Reception deadline: October 9
  • Contest launching date: August 28
